Photos: Before the crowds: The first two rounds of Zara’s Shanghai pop-up evolution

Earlier this month, Zara launched its popup on the trendy Anfu Lu in Shanghai’s former French Concession. The 500 square metre store is spread across two floors and, unlike most popups which remain static over their short lives, Zara is reinventing the space weekly to keep it fresh, novel and viral.

Round 1: The pop up launch

The first iteration of Zara’s pop up feels like a stylishly-bedecked store, joined by a black stairwell to a larger space on level 2. And when you need a breather, there’s the restful chill zone on the upper terrace. Scroll down to see the dramatic change for Round 2…

Round 2: The Big Top Circus Tent & Harry Lambert

The first iteration of the pop up was only getting started! Harry Lambert’s collection launch couldn’t have been more appropriately set than in the Big Top circus theme complete with free popcorn!
