Who allowed foreigners to invade RED and “听劝”?

It all started in January. A large number of foreigners suddenly started flooding into the "听劝 (listen to advice)" section of RED. A Romanian girl named Eliza posted a photo on RED on 26 January holding a white paper with "听劝" written on it. She expressed her desire for more confidence and asked RED users to provide "direct, brutal, and honest" feedback. Hundreds of comments were received.

It all started with a video posted on TikTok in January by the knowledge and popular science blogger @candiselin86. She shared screenshots of amateur makeovers from RED, along with before-and-after photos, and explained, "Chinese netizens are helping girls look better."

Candise advised everyone, saying, "If you want to get advice from Chinese netizens, download RED from the app store, take a selfie or full-body photo while holding a sign that says '听劝,' and then use Google Translate to read the comments from Chinese netizens." Finally, she also reminded foreign netizens not to be easily offended. As soon as the video was released, many people in the comment section were searching for a guide on how to download RED.
